We’re excited to share the 2026 Louisiana Alumni & Friends Newsletter! 🎉

This year’s newsletter is filled with updates, memories, accomplishments, and news from the Louisiana Alumni & Friends community. It’s a wonderful way to stay connected with classmates, friends, alumni, and everyone who continues to make our school community special.

Whether you’ve been involved for years or are just reconnecting, we hope you’ll take a few minutes to read through this year’s newsletter and celebrate all that’s happening in our community.

    If anyone could assist, Katherine Gunning left $500,000 for scholarships for Roger Gunning Memorial. What happen to that award? It should have lasted forever? Joe Wells class of 61.

      The Roger Gunning Memorial Scholarship is still awarded. We at the Alumni Association do not administer that scholarship. Students can get the application from the LHS Counselor on her Counselor webpage. They usually have access to that in December and applications are due in March/April timeframe. Alivia Perrine and Gwen Reed were the recipients of the scholarship for 2026.

    Is there a way to pay online for the alumni dinner? I don’t use paper checks any more!

      Yes! You can click on the red button that says “RSVP TO THE 2026 BANQUET HERE!” or click on the RSVP/SHOP link at the top. From there add to your cart the reservations, then view cart, then enter your information along with payment. Should be fairly easy. We get many reservations this way! -Tina
