2026 Reunion Update

Dance Announcement!

We’ve heard the rumors, and we’d like to set the record straight: the reunion dinner and dance have NOT been cancelled.

Over the past several years, attendance at our reunion events has gradually declined. The Alumni & Friends Association Board has spent considerable time discussing different ways to keep this tradition alive and create an event that more alumni will enjoy. After exploring several options, we felt it was time to make some changes.

As previously announced, this year’s reunion activities will begin on the Louisiana High School campus, where we’ll enjoy food, a guest speaker, our annual business meeting, and optional campus tours.

And now for the exciting news…

🎶 The Reunion Dance is ON! 🎶

The dance will be held at the Elks Lodge, 120 N. 5th Street, following the activities at the high school on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The Elks have graciously provided the use of their facility and will have a cash bar available throughout the evening.

  • Band: Retro Joe and the 8-Tracks (Sponsored by the Class of ’86)
  • Time: 8:00 p.m. – Midnight
  • Cover Charge: $5 at the door

The doors will open before the band begins. We’ll announce the exact opening time as soon as it’s finalized.

We’re excited about these changes and hope they’ll provide a fun opportunity for alumni of all generations to reconnect, reminisce, and make new memories. We look forward to seeing everyone at this year’s reunion!

To clarify, I assume the dance is the same date as the other events – October 17th?

I like the idea. I won’t be able to attend as my wife has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Dennis Goodman

We are so sorry to hear that. Please know that you and your wife are in our thoughts and prayers. We completely understand that you won’t be able to join us, and we hope you know you will be missed. Sending love and strength to you both from the Alumni & Friends Board. ❤️

I know times are hard. It just sounds like a good idea for all the alumni. Appreciate the hard work that everyone is contributed to this organization. Hopefully, more individuals will take advantage of this. In the future, thank you.
